Privacy Policy

• Account details: your email address, and either a password (stored only as a secure hash, never in readable form) or your Google sign-in.
• Profile details: your name, nickname, birth name (optional), date of birth, time zone and preferred language. We use these to personalise your readings.
• Your readings: the questions you ask, what was drawn (cards, runes and hexagrams) and the written interpretation, so you can look back at them in your history.
• Payment details: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep a reference to your Stripe customer record, your purchases, your credit balance and your subscription status.

Interpretations are written by an AI model, Claude, provided by Anthropic. To write your reading, we send it your question, what was drawn and the profile details listed above (name, nickname, birth name and date of birth). This data is used only to produce your reading.

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, remember your language and keep track of your credit balance. These are needed for the site to work.

With your permission, we also use analytics (through Cloudflare Zaraz) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can accept or decline this when you first visit.

When you first arrive, a small cookie records how you found us: the campaign tag in the link you followed, or the name of the website that sent you. It contains no personal identifier and is not shared. If you create an account, this is saved with your account so we can see which of our posts bring people to the site. If you don't, it expires after 90 days.

If you arrive through a friend's invite link, a cookie keeps their invite code for 30 days, so the invite can be credited if you sign up.

If you create a share link for a reading, anyone with that link can see it, including the interpretation if you choose to include it. You can stop sharing at any time, and the link stops working.

If you sign up through a friend's invite link, that friend can see on their profile that you joined and when. They see the nickname you chose, or, if you have none, your email address with everything before the @ hidden except its first letter (for example j•••@gmail.com). They never see your readings.

We use your email address to log you in and to send you emails about your account, such as password resets, payments and your subscription.

If you choose to, we also email you reading reminders and news, such as the card of the week and offers. We only do this after you say yes, and we keep a record of when and where you made that choice. Each of these emails has a link to unsubscribe, and you can change your choice on your profile at any time without affecting your account.

We do not sell your data. We only share it with the services we need to run the site:

• Cloudflare: hosting, database storage and sending emails.
• Anthropic: writing reading interpretations.
• Stripe: processing payments and subscriptions.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Email guardians@holy-oracle.com from the email address you use for your account.

Within 7 days we will delete your email address, profile details and reading history. This cannot be undone.
